The urn ships empty. Please do not mail ashes to us.
The ashes come back from the crematorium in a sealed bag, usually inside a temporary container. The lid of the urn lifts off, and the urn is not sealed. We suggest you keep the ashes in a bag you have closed, lift off the lid, and set that bag inside.
If the bag is larger than you expected, write to us with the size and we will tell you what fits. If you would rather someone else did this, most vets and crematoriums will help.
